Happy Musicians -day!!According to the catholic-saints-calendar (as was being pointed out to me by my nephew K. who is in the appropriate position to tell me these things), today is Saint Cecilia, which is – as I remember well from my days when I went to the brass band in my hometown - the saint for all musicians. The brass band was named after Saint Cecilia (as almost every other brass band in Catholic Flanders I imagine).
So to all musicians out there: Congratulations! And maybe a good day today to – as I learned from Sarah – for the lurking and non-lurking people to tell 1. me what kind of music you like, 2. if you play an instrument and 3. what your favourite song in the world is!

ik grijp meteen mijn kans om hier volle bak sluikreclame te maken voor Buurman ! Of laten we het maar meteen échte reclame noemen.
1. Ik heb het volop voor Nederlandstalig werk. Monza, Noordkaap, Buurman,... De 'oude' U2 is ook zeer goed.
2. Beetje gitaar. En elke dag een half uur saxofoon. To be continued.
3. 'Transitpassagier' van Buurman. Nog niet te beluisteren op hun site. U kan er wel al luisteren naar 'Dat is't.

Oh, did i mention PJ Harvey? The Flaming Lips! Mars Volta? Interpol, Editors and Confuse The Cat! Modest Mouse! Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky? Arcade Fire? Difficult to choose just one...
1- Depending on my moment: from popy things, to 80's, to jazz, men with guitar (we call it cantautor), even to classical, or some spanish stuff.
2- I can't play really anything. Some flute at school, some badly played guitar accords, and very bad singer (only in the shower). But i love dancing a lot!
3- only one... There are many, I was super fan of Ben Harper, Pixies, Nirvana on my young times (even now, i listen the umplugged...), Ella Fitzgerlad and bossa nova (caetano veloso, vinicius de moraes, maria da bethania...) allways, Belle and Sebastian, benjamin violay and chiara mastroiani, joy division, radiohead... I cannot just choose one!
